To Market To Market. Christ Church Cathedral Trad Fest.

Hi Anne-Marie here wishing you all a Happy New Year! I bring news of an interesting market opportunity this month. Christ Church Cathedral Trad Fest Market 2012 takes place on January 27th and 28th in the heart of Dublin and sounds like a great opportunity for crafters as well as a fun day out.


'After the phenomenal success of last year’s performances by Altan and Clannad, Christ Church Cathedral is again playing the role of headline venue in the Temple Bar Trad Fest. To coincide with performances in the cathedral by iconic band, The Dubliners, on the 27th and 28th January, the cathedral has organised a series of special events including a craft market, story-telling, genealogy, fiddle-making workshops, hot food stalls and even The City Farm in the grounds!

Hot on the heels of the successful Christmas Market, the market will take place in the atmospheric 12th century crypt on Saturday 28th January from 11am-4pm. 12 stalls will be available to rent at a cost of €50 each. Each stall holder will be provided with a 6ft x 2.5ft trestle table and two chairs. The crypt is warm, comfortable and welcoming, and admission will be free to the market!

"Bazaar On The Boardwalk"
7th, 8th, 9th and 10th July 2010 and every Saturday Thereafter!
Location – Lapp’s Quay Boardwalk

We are opening a vintage bazaar on Lapp’s Quay Boardwalk very soon…
This market is accepting applications IMMEDIATELY as we have decided to take the opportunity to launch it early as the Cork Clipper Stopover is all happening across the bridge from where the Bazaar will take place!

They are expecting 80,000 visitors to the area over the three days and you can’t get there without passing by us!

We are looking for curios, vintage clothing, antiques, rarities, jewellry, hand –made crafts, unusual items, books and other lovely interesting things which you can suggest to us!

This week the market will run from 3pm-9pm on Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday and on the regular Saturday Market, it will run from 10am-4pm.

I need to know by this FRIDAY if you wish to take part – we will need confirmation of participation for at least four weeks!

Pitches are a special introductory offer of 45 euros per day and should be payable to Goldiefish Events!

Please fill out the application* in detail – especially the PR stuff as that will go into our marketing campaign.

This is an outdoor market so you will need to bring along your own tents, tables etc. Over time if this is a roaring success – (which it will be) we may be able to invest in some covering.
We need a commitment of four weeks from everyone on this.
Please also spread the word as we are really looking for this to work and the more involved the merrier!

Market Opportunity for Etsy Ireland

St George's market in Belfast is opening it's doors on Sundays as of July 4th 2010. It already hosts markets on Fridays and Saturdays and has a huge amount of space inside. There has been a suggestion to hold a weekly stall for Etsy Ireland. Different members could show their work at it every week. We would have to cover the stall every week as a no show would unfortunately lose us the space. Would any one be interested? Leave your comment below, pass on the word and we'll see what we can do.

Stall costs £13 each week.
