New this week! A Team Treasury Challenge!

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome to the Crafty Ireland Team's new treasury challenge!
Challenges are great because they not only allow us to promote one another, but they also help us to stretch our creativity a bit and have some fun!

Get excited!!

The challenge will work like so...

You will have a theme to work from. This weeks theme is "Comfort".

The rules are simple...

  1. The treasury must be curated during the week of the challenge. (Oct.13 - Oct.19)
  2. A link to your treasury must be posted here in the comments of this post to enter.
  3. Your treasury must contain two tags: craftyirelandteam and citchallenge
  4. You must include 8-10 Crafty Ireland Team members in your treasury.
  5. Your treasury must not include one of your own items.

    See? Simples.
Your incentive? Should you need one. ;)

- The winner will receive a a little feature post here on the blog AND their Etsy Mini listed in the sidebar for one whole week!

- Voting will be done via a poll widget, that I will create once I have some entries. Winner will be announced next Wednesday, Oct. 20.
* Edit: Voting will begin on Friday, Oct. 15

That's it! I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with! Let the treasury making commence!

:) Rach

    Hmmm, now that's a challenge...get one done today... :)

  5. WOW! Yes, two already! I'm so glad to see that! Guess I can get that widget ready now.

Does nobody in Ireland do soup? Or hot chocolate? ;)

  10. beautiful Virginie!

    Slight change in plans...
It has been decided not to put up the voting widget until Friday to allow more entries before voting begins.
So, you'll still have 4 days to share and ask for votes.
(I'll make an edit in the post)

This our first challenge, we'll have all these things worked out for the next one. Would you all like to have a next one? :)

  11. That should say "This is our...", not "This our...".

I'm so glad you guys are liking this. :)

  12. This is great!!!

    Here's mine.

  13. I think this is a great idea, please could we have another one?!

I had so much fun looking through everything today, lots of lovely window shopping and drooling over stuff I'd love to buy someday...

This was the second treasury I'd ever made and I really loved it; especially as it was being part of a team :)

  14. Love it, Fi! You are all so creative!

I think chances are good that we will do this again. ;)

  15. I got my homework done:

I love this idea! Will be a lot of fun.

  16. This is a great idea guys. Here's my entry. Enjoy:

  17. yay my first treasury . . hope ye like

  18. Beautiful, Jesse! and Edana and Karen! You guys are amazing!

I'm so glad you're all feeling inspired! :)

  19. I haven't made a comment before - strange for me!!
Is this the correct link to give for my treasury
    Lovely challenge.

  20. Yep, that is correct, Mary!
And what a beautiful treasury! I'll add it to the list now. :)

  21. Love this idea!! I would def be up for doing another ,I love making treasuries and this gives me a good excuse. I'm tempted to make another one but I must be good today and go do some work!!

  22. well I should have all the kinks worked out now, so another one should be no problem.

    They are fun!

  23. What a great idea. Say some lovely things in our collection.
    And here's my entry....

  24. mmm, cake! wonderful, Mo!
    Adding it now.
Remember, the voting will start tomorrow!

  25. This is my first treasury, but not my last - this was fun!

  26. This treasury creating is so addictive! I've spent all afternoon looking at lovely things instead of making - than again how hard is that! :) But I couldn't find any soapmakers in Ireland!

    Anyway here is mine:

  27. I've had that same problem, Silver Soul, and handmade soap is my most common purchase on Etsy. I know they're out there!

These are so great, you guys! I am loving the enthusiasm!

    Adding you both now!

  28. great idea!
    here's mine

  29. I had chats with Anne-Marie and Odette about the lack of soapmakers on the Etsy Ireland team. Odette, you were right about lindsaycrafts - she used to make soaps. I told her that people here are looking for an Irish soapmaker...

The treasuries are all so fabulous, it will be really hard to decide who to vote for!

  30. such fun ;o)

My entry " Ember & Charcoal - The Welcoming Comfort of a Warm Fire on a Cold Winter's Night!"

  31. yes, we need soap!! :)

You guys are amazing! and I am finding all kinds of new shops through this. I love it.

Can hardly keep up with you all! adding yas now.

  32. I've already learnt lots of new stuff about tags and the use of tags, because when I was looking for items for my treasury, I often couldn't find what I was looking for, and then later on, I found it when I was looking for something else and the item just popped up (but hadn't used the keywords I was looking for).
And sometimes when I expected some of my own knitwear to appear, it didn't, and I realised I hadn't used the keyword in my tags!

    Fascinating learning experience!

  33. Great idea Rach, & brilliant that so many people are getting involved. I'm loving looking through the treasuries.

  34. Brilliant idea! Challenges are fun:) Here's my interpretation of autumn comfort:

  35. That's wonderful, Brigitte!
and me too, Letizia! Such a great turn out!

Voting will start shortly! Get your sharing caps on. ;)

  36. Ah, wonderful! Got you on the list, lightkeeping!

  37. great selections - well done everyone. I didn't get to make a treasury - but i've lots of new pieces added to my faves, it was a great excuse to see the lovely pieces from all of our shops xx
