'Getting to Know you With a Wave'

Hi there, this is Anne-Marie of Handmade by Amo’r. I will be looking after the monthly ‘Getting to Know You’ Treasury.  I’d firstly like to say thank you to my predecessor, Raphael of La Creature and You, who previously looked after this project so well.

This monthly endeavour is where the Crafty Ireland Team gets to meet another Etsy team via a treasury that will be shared 50-50 between both teams.  The aim is to introduce ourselves and promote members of both teams.

As I work a lot with seaglass and sea pottery, I decided to kick off with a maritime themed treasury and chose The Beach Feeds My Soul Team to partner up with.  This is an international team of Etsy sellers who love the ocean, beach, sea creatures etc and who all have some maritime related items listed in their shops.  The treasury is titled ‘Getting To Know You With A Wave.’

Ireland is an island with an estimated 3171 kilometres of coastline (c1970miles).  Our coast is quite diverse, the most notable differences being the dramatic cliffs in the West, where the land is exposed to the wild Atlantic and the more sheltered beaches of the East where the Irish Sea separates us from Britain.
The ocean has commonly provided inspiration for many Irish artists, writers, craft workers and poets. It’s hardly surprising that I had plenty of sea-related items to choose from the Crafty Ireland Team for this treasury.
Please do click into the treasury and give The Beach Feeds My Soul Team a hearty, Irish welcome.

Anne-marie will be back again with another Getting to Know you on the first Sunday of next month.
