Etsy Treasury Tips for Sellers!

This is just the start of many posts related to this topic, but I was going through my Etsy Treasuries this morning and I noticed that many of the items from Irish Etsy sellers that I have featured have sold. This is fantastic but it also means that there is a big empty gap in the treasury. Here is an example of a newly unbalanced treasury, and you can see this treasury here. 

Treasuries are created to put your product in the best possible light, with coordinating items, themes and colour palettes. The aim of the treasury is to bring traffic and sales to your Etsy store. If you know that your item is in a treasury and it sells, be sure to contact the creator of the treasury and they will more than likely replace it with another of your items which then has that extra chance of selling. 

Also, if you are listed in a treasury you will automatically get an update from Etsy. Leaving a comment on the treasury and adding it to your favourites will increase the chances of the treasury creator including your items in the future. Everyone likes good manners and being professional goes a long way.

Calling All Creatives!

Ennistymon Fibre Art Installation Project
Opening date for submissions: 25 February 2013
Closing date: 31 May 2013

This is an open call for artists, printers, illustrators and designers in different textile, fibre art, fine art and design domains. Anyone and everyone can participate in this project.

Theme: Colour.
The requirements: All pieces must be able to be sewn together to form a larger installation. Non toxic safe materials only and handmade original work.

Participants are asked to knit, crochet, weave, felt, illustrate, print, dye or paint onto fabric. Pieces can be any colour, yarn or fibre, any size, shape and pattern. 

They can be anything from embroidery, a granny square, a knitted scene, an Aran knitted rectangle, crochet stripes, flowers or leaves, lace, handwoven cloth, felting, an illustration on cloth, a written piece on fabric, printed fabric, batik, shibori, yuzen dyeing, tie dye, patchwork, appliqué, cross-stitch. Everything and anything fibre art related. Be creative, be individual, be unique but most of all, make it handmade, make it your own work and have fun with your creations.

There is no limit to how many pieces of work you can submit.

By submitting your work you are consenting for it to be used for The Ennistymon Fibre Art Project and shown in an exhibition. (Venue and date to be announced.) We will not be able to return any pieces received.

Please include your name/group name, town, country or any other information you would like included with your contributions. We value each and every piece and want to make sure that we include you in our list of participants.
