As you may already know the Irish Blog Awards are taking place on the 19th March in Belfast. Last year I attended the awards representing the team, and met lots of lovely bloggers from around the country. The best part about the event is the Ladies Tea Party, when all the lady bloggers meet up beforehand, get lightly toasted on wine and do lots of chatting and networking. It's a great way of putting a face to a page, and also great for meeting business contacts.
Each lady who attends gets a free goody bags, with nice things supplied by the sponsors. Last year I donated some pocket mirrors to the goody bags and got a great response from people blogging about my business. I thought it would be a great way for promoting the Etsy Ireland Team. The contents would not all need to be the same, but only within a similar price bracket.
My suggestion is that we need 20 people to donate one piece each in the €5-€15 price bracket, making sure to include their business details. So that each guest at the party gets something different, therefore creating a discussion and buzz about the Etsy Ireland Team. The guests will be asked to blog/tweet/facebook about the lovely freebies that they have received. Some of the lovely ladies have a huge daily readerships, and it would be a very effective way of profiling your business.
The only thing is that I've left it quite late to get this organised as I've been quite sick over the past week. So I'll need a pretty instant response from people. Anyone interested in donating pieces could you please convo me through my shop, so I can give you my postal address. You will need to send your items to me on Monday at the latest so I can send them to Sabrina on Wednesday in time for the awards.
