saturday favorites

hello everyone!
i've been scrolling through 70 Etsy pages with the "craftyirelandteam" tag and i'm overwhelmed with so much talent and crafty goodness! here are a few of my favorites :

1. Anemone on the Shore by meluseena
2. Irish Gaelic Folk Art Bird Ornament by homespunireland
3. Fuchsia Rose and Brass Beads Necklace by ABoxForMyTreasure
4. Marino Felted Slippers by suzanneorford
5. Summer Festival Hat by purlsofcolour

...and speaking about creativity, check out this brilliant short film by Andrea Dorfam titled How to be Alone. my husband and i have left our friends and family back in Holland and in the Philippines when we moved here in Dublin, so i could relate pretty much to that feeling on my first few months here. i'm glad that ireland is so easy to fall in love with, and how quickly i found my peace and focus and happiness here.

have a lovely weekend! xx

  1. Odette, a very very beautiful film, thanks for sharing it with us! I think I needed to see this when I lived in Amsterdam for three month about 6 years ago. It was a hard time, but I did the most sketchbook work ever and thought the deepest. I wouldn't change that time, but it was hard! I like this film.

  4. awww, you're welcome!
i couldn't stop watching it myself, the poetry is just beautiful.

@ bridget, nice to know you've lived in amsterdam before. my husband lived there for about 18years before our move here, and me for a short while in 2006.

  5. Odette, thanks for sharing this great clip! I can so relate to that, although from a different angle - I love being social, but I need my alone time. If I don't have it, I get irritated with people and have to take myself off.

And thanks for featuring my hat :)
